A team of specially trained health-care professionals is in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week  to provide the community with the best possible emergency care, including:

• an emergency medicine physician
• an emergency medicine pediatrician  
• registered nurses
• emergency medical technicians

The Department is equipped with the latest in medical technology.  It has its own laboratory and radiology to minimize turnaround time.

Northwest HealthCare's emergency services are complimented by Christian Hospital's Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and are part of one of the state's busiest emergency departments -- noted for its excellence in emergency medicine. Christian Hospital's EMS Department operates a fleet of basic and advanced life-support ambulances, as well as a heliport, with ambulances stationed at Northwest HealthCare.

Northwest Express is the name of our expedited approach to seeing and treating most minor emergencies in 90 minutes or less between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. And there's no noisy, cramped waiting room, because we designed the spacious Emergency Department with your comfort in mind.
