Sleep problems can indicate serious, underlying medical problems; or reveal a need to change sleep habits, lifestyle or medications. Since its opening in 1987, the Sleep Disorders Center has helped thousands of people achieve restful sleep.

Our staff  works closely with your doctor to help pinpoint the causes of your sleep problems. Our physicians are accredited clinical polysomnographers, and our sleep technicians are registered or registry-eligible.

The Center features the latest technology and treatment options to coordinate a specialized treatment plan unique to each patient. Frequently, an evaluation requires an overnight stay.

The Sleep Disorders staff can help solve a range of problems, including:

• Loud or excessive snoring
• Sleep apnea (stop breathing during sleep)
• Daytime sleepiness
• Restless sleep, frequent awakening
• Morning headaches
• Trouble awakening
• Early awakening
• Falling asleep at work or during other activities
• Insomnia (inability to quickly fall asleep or stay asleep)
• Limb movements during sleep (Restless Leg Syndrome)

The most common referrals come from primary care physicians; ear, nose and throat physicians; and neurologists. The Center accepts self-referrals, as well as a wide range of managed care and insurance plans.
